You may or may not know who Sy Berger is. In a nutshell, he’s the guy responsible for bringing baseball and Topps together more than 50 years ago.
Tonight I’m skimming YouTube seeing as how I’m three seasons behind on The Wire and there’s nothing else on. I come across an interview with Berger done by Topps. If you have nine minutes to spare, check it out. I guarantee you’ll get a lot of insight into the history of the hobby.
In addition to designing cards and leading Topps, Sy Berger has a few cards of his own. Most notable is 2004 Topps All-Time Fan Favorites where he has an autograph.
