Oringally slated for a release to coincide with the debut of the show's second season in October, Topps has finally got their first Heroes set on the shelves.

WWE Heritage III (Topps, 2007)
It's 80s retro cool with the third release in the ever-dependable WWE Heritage line. Despite a horrible box, this is still a fun product that has me excited for more. And there's a piece of gum in every pack.

2007
Topps Series One Baseball
I
guess it comes down to the fact that I don't like to change
my collecting habits so even though 2007 Topps Series
One is mediocre, I'll still eventually track down the
second and third series and then move on to 2008.

2006
Topps Updates & Highlights Baseball
Now
that the 2007 season has ended, I'm finally playing catch-up
and getting around to busting a box of 2006 Topps Updates
& Highlights Baseball. While the set is a nice way
to fill out the 2006 season, I found the design lacking.
But I also got one heck of a nice pull, so all isn't that
bad.

Star
Wars: 30th Anniversary
After
umpteen Star Wars themed sets in the past three decades,
one would think there isn't a lot of room left to cover
for Topps in the galaxy far, far away. Yet, somehow they've
managed to pull it off with Star Wars: 30th Anniversary,
a set that has been overlooked largely for the many levels
of chase and the hit-and miss mentality that comes with
such a lofty chase program.

Hollywood
Zombies
Topps
has come out with a highly entertaining coping mechanism
in their latest original series Hollywood Zombies,
a gross-out set with the Garbage Pail Kids vibe.
The set features the tabloid fodder "zombified"
with hilarious results.

WWE
Heritage Chrome
The
hit WWE Heritage set gets shiny. Inserts include
parallel Refractors, X-Fractors and ultra-tough Super-Fractors.
Collectors should also find one autograph per hobby box.

Veronica
Mars: Season One
Spinning
equal parts of 90210's teenaged soap opera (or The
OC for the young 'uns in the house) with the wit and
angst of Buffy and storylines nodding at classic
film noir, Veronica Mars became an instant favorite
for me. So with that in mind, it would be a little tough
to look at this set with an unbiased mind. Or would I be
tougher on it because of my new-found passion for the show?
Well, I'm happy with my purchase for a multitude of reasons.
