1995 Fleer Batman Forever Metal is one of multiple sets the card maker churned out for the blockbuster film. And while it doesn’t take the typical approach most sets of movie trading cards do, it is a flashy departure.
Rather than using images from the film, most of the product uses artwork based on the characters and events. And it’s not comic-based either. Cards are clearly based on the actors and the costumes shown on the screen.
The base set has 100 cards. Fronts have the artwork along with a story synopsis on the back. All 100 cards have a Silver Flasher parallel that was inserted one per pack. These have an all-silver background that is recognizable for its circular pattern.
Gold Flashers are the easiest inserts to pull. Every third pack has one of the ten cards in the set.
Holograms are 1:18 hobby packs. These use 3-D images adding depth and detail.
Eight Movie Preview inserts (1:6 packs) are the only cards in the product to use photos. These highlight the key characters in the movie.
