Remember the High School Musical phenomenon? For a time, it was a thing. And that thing spawned plenty of licensed products including three sets of traditional trading cards. 2008 Topps High School Musical Expanded Edition centers on the sequel. The set-up is largely the same as the original 2007 set. That means lots of stickers.
But before you get to the stickers, there’s the base set. It’s on the small side with just 50 cards.
There are another 30 Sticker Cards, which are included two per pack. Given their common insertion rates, some pair these up with the base set.
Each pack comes with one of three different types of additional stickers. Puzzle Stickers are the most common. These have a couple of small stickers on the front. Their notebook layout give a doddle feel. Backs have a puzzle piece.
2008 Topps High School Musical Expanded Edition also has ten Glitter Stickers and five Felt Stickers.
Of the three High School Musical releases from Topps, this is the easiest one to find today. By the time it came out, the franchise was peaking. It’s also possible more was produced based on the success of the first release, although that may be speculation.
