2009 iCardz America at War: D-Day/Band of Brothers Checklist, Trading Cards Info

Most of us have sat through two types of history classes: those that bring the past to life and make it fascinating and those that put us to sleep. 2009 iCardz America at War D-Day/Band of Brothers trading cards aim to be one of the better type.

The product offers a comprehensive — and beautiful — look at the United States’ role in World War II.

The 192-card base set is divided into two separate sections. One is Band of Brothers, the real-life story of Easy Company that the HBO mini-series was based on. D-Day looks at the planning and execution of the crucial campaign. Bands of Brothers has 49 cards while D-Day comes in at 143 cards.

Base card fronts use compelling photography from both home and the battlefront. Backs offer extensive write ups.

2009 iCardz America at War trading cards don’t have a lot of inserts. However, they do feature autographs from seven members of the Band of Brothers.

Ingrid Hardy did a limited number of sketch cards for the set as well.

When the set was released, there was also a contest component that included WWII memorabilia as prizes.
