The 1995 SkyBox Mortal Kombat Movie trading cards don’t show any spines getting ripped out or other grusome finishing moves. What they do, however, is immortalize a memorable (but maybe not for the right reasons) based-on-a-video-game movies. It approaches a modern configuration, but still does so quietly.
The base set has 90 cards. It’s a standard mix of characters and plot cards. Base cards are full-bleed. The only design elements on the fronts come from the character cards. And even then, it’s just a name.
1995 SkyBox Mortal Kombat Movie trading cards have two small insert sets. Three Gold Foil Warriors (1:18 packs) cards come with a textured frame to make the three featured characters stand out. Red Foil Kombat cards (4 cards, 1:19 packs) showcase some of the film’s action.
All seven insert cards have marked “sample” versions as well.
