2009 Artbox Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 is one of a handful of anthology-driven releases based on the franchise. Covering the first five films, the general feel is similar to the first Memorable Moments release but there are some noticeable differences.
That starts with the base set. It has the same sepia tone as the original release. However, instead of taking a vertical approach, it’s been flipped. This allows for a much larger image. And for a set that’s focused on key happenings, that’s important. Backs have a quote that goes with the image and a short description. In a nutshell, this isn’t a set that’s big on depth from a base set perspective.
Autographs and Memorabilia Cards
Like all Artbox Harry Potter sets, it’s the premium inserts that draw a lot of the attention.
Autographs land every other box. It’s not the strongest lineup but it does include a dual-signed card of Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and Gary Oldman (Sirius Black). There’s also Verne Troyer, who is best known as Mini Me in the Austin Powers series, and a Malfoy-themed dual autograph card with Tom Felton (Draco) and Jason Isaac (Lucious).
All of the costume and prop cards come serial numbered. They’re also a mix of single and dual swatches.
Additional Inserts
The only other inserts available in packs are Puzzle Foil cards. That said, each box also comes with a Dumbledore’s Army topper. There are also three lenticular case topper cards.
A total of 6,000 boxes of 2009 Artbox Harry Potter Memorable Moments Series 2 trading cards were produced.
