2008 Rittenhouse Star Trek Movies In Motion brings action to the franchise. At least as much action as a lenticular trading card can handle. And in case that gimmick wasn’t enough, it has a strong lineup of autographs.
The base set has 60 cards. All are lenticular show small bits from the first ten Star Trek films. It’s definitely a change of pace from most other sets, although Rittenhouse has done similar releases and inserts before including Women of Star Trek In Motion.
Autographs are inserted three per box. Drawing from so many movies, there are plenty of opportunities for both lead stars and supporting stars who went on to bigger things. Patrick Stewart, Nichelle Nichols and Marina Sirtis are among the big names for Star Trek fans. There’s also a Leonard Nimoy autograph, although his wasn’t in packs. Rather, the actor was the product’s six-case incentive. Other notable 2008 Rittenhouse Star Trek Movies In Motion Autographs include Kirstie Alley, Christopher Plummer and James Cromwell.
The product has three basic insert set as well. Star Trek Movies Stars In Motion are similar to the base set in look and feel. They focus on lead characters. There’s also Quotable Star Trek Movies and Portraits, both of which use a traditional style.
Each box of 2008 Rittenhouse Star Trek Movies in Motion is numbered to 5,000.
