Throughout its run, the Battlestar Galactica reboot was consistent in its greatness. The trading cards were equally consistent. 2008 Rittenhouse Battlestar Galactica Season 3 stays the course with a familiar mix of autographs, costume cards and other base cards and inserts.
The 63-card base set includes three cards for every episode. There’s also three checklists to lead things off. The design doesn’t change from Season 2.
Autographs jump from one per box in previous BSG releases to two. Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, Mary McConnell and James Callis are among the signers. Edward James Olmos signed his first cards for the set, however, it was distributed as a six-case incentive.
Despite the jump in autographs, Costume cards are still one per box. The checklist features nine different cards with wardrobe swatches from seven different characters. In addition to these are three Dual Costume cards.
A Tricia Helfer autographed costume card was given to dealers ordering at least two cases.
2008 Rittenhouse Battlestar Galactica Season 3 has four basic insert sets. Shelter Posters return. Again a tough pull, each are numbered to 400 copies. Film Clip cards use slide-like images of lead characters.
Other inserts include Significant Seven and Love in War.
