Just as the name of the set suggests, 2004 Inkworks Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Women of Sunnydale focuses on the show’s female characters. It’s a character-driven release that includes an autograph and a costume card per box.
The base set has 90 cards. The first 54 are nine-card lots centered on specific leads like Buffy, Willow, Dawn and Cordelia. The remaining 36 are a mix of good girls and bad plus some memorable battles.
While Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan are both absent, this may be one of the most balanced autograph checklist of any Buffy release, at least the ones with regular-appearing signed cards. Highlight include Amber Benson (Tara), Emma Caulfield (Anya) and Kristine Sutherland (Joyce Summers). Of the 15 different autographs, Sutherland was the only redemption.

The Pieceworks list is much smaller with just six cards. On the bright side, Buffy is the only character with multiple costumes in this part of the set.
Despite the different sort of nature of the product, the remaining inserts are typical Inkworks. Fashion Emergency is the nine-card foil puzzle. Ladies’ Choice is the six-card insert set. It’s the only place in the product whether the other sex are the focus.
Also randomly inserted in packs was a redemption good for an exclusive Tara action figure from Diamond Select Toys. These weren’t easy to pull, landing 1:432 packs.
