1991 Topps Tiny Toon Adventures is the first of two trading card sets released for the show. Strikingly simple and not very attractive, it’s largely overlooked today.
They’re tiny, they’re too many but they were never quite the Looney Tunes. While Tiny Toon Adventures was popular during the late 1980s and early ’90s, it never came close to replacing the likes of Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck like it was positioned to. In fact, one could argue that Animaniacs has left a bigger impression. But even if it’s not exactly a classic, the show did create some fun characters. And a couple of sets of trading cards.
The 1991 Topps Tiny Toon Adventures base set has 77 cards. Like other similar sets from the time, they’re a mix of character cards and ones with clips and gags from the show.
Every pack comes with one off 11 stickers.
With a whopping 60 packs per box, putting together both the base and sticker sets isn’t difficult.
Given the fact that the set come out at a time that print runs were on the massive side, there isn’t as much on the secondary market as you might expect. 1991 Topps Tiny Toon Adventures is by no means rare, though and can still be found at reasonable prices.
