New show, familiar name, familiar configuration — 2005 Rittenhouse Stargate Atlantis Season 1 trading cards maintain the same general elements that made SG-1 a cornerstone for the card maker for years.
The 63-card base set kicks off with three checklists. All 20 of the first season episodes are recapped with three cards. The general layout of the design is similar to the one used for SG-1 but with a more colorful border and a different font.
Autographs and costume cards are both included at a rate of one per box. The list of signers doesn’t have any major stars from outside the show, but it does have some of the lead. Joe Flanigan, who played Major John Sheppard, highlights the autographs available in packs.
From the Archives costume cards feature swatches from 11 different items worn during the show’s filming. All feature different characters.
2005 Rittenhouse Stargate Atlantis Season 1 has four basic insert sets as well. Atlantis Crew, Quotable and Ancient Technologies aren’t too hard to find. On the other end of the spectrum, two Fallen Heroes cards highlighting Robert Patrick’s short-lived character are inserted 1:480 packs.
