1998 Topps Xena: Warrior Princes Series 2 trading cards arrived a short time after the show’s first major set. But whereas the debut release doesn’t have any autographs, this one does. But even with these premium inserts, the overall checklist is still relatively small and simple.
The 72-card base set shows good continuity with Series 1. The focus shifts primarily to the show’s second season, although other subsets dig a little deeper into characters, overarching plot developments and some behind-the-camera work. A handful of cards also highlight Xena-themed artwork.
Lucy Lawless is not among the 12 autographs in 1998 Topps Xena: Warrior Princess Series 2. However, there are a handful of key actors with secondary roles like Bruce Campbell (Autolycus), Kevin Smith (Ares) and Hudson Leick (Callisto). But before you go ripping packs looking for early autographs, Campbell and Melinda Clark are both redemptions that are useless now beyond the redemption cards.
The set’s only other inserts are six chromium Topps Finest cards.
