Overview: 2004 Topps Traded & Rookies Baseball

The late-season sets are among the most popular sets each year. The reason is simple: rookies, rookies and more rookies. Sure, they might try and convince you that the traded veterans have some sway, but in this age of dozens of sets each year, by the time the traded sets appear, said traded vets have already appeared in many sets already wearing their new logos.

And of all the traded sets, Topps Traded is the groundbreaker. What started as a boxed set has transformed in recent years to become a highly anticipated multi-brand product including updates for both Topps and Topps Chrome.

This year's set will include 20 draft picks from this year's draft (list below) as well as additional rookies and traded stars such as Alex Rodriguez as a Yankee and Nomar Garciaparra as a Cub. The breakdown of the 220-card base set is as follows: 65 veterans, 110 rookies, 20 prospects, five managers, 20 draft picks.
