The set is comprised of 70 regular player cards along with two 15-card subsets: "Jersey Evolution,"which chronicles the design of the baseball jersey from its earliest beginnings until now, covering teams like the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants; and "Mid-Summer Classic Moments,"which highlights unforgettable plays and developments stemming from MLBs annual All-Star Game. Two key All-Star moments include the 1949 game at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn in which Cleveland Indians standout Larry Doby was selected to play as one of the first African Americans to participate in the Mid-Summer Classic, to the 2000 battle at Turner Field in Atlanta where Derek Jeter became the first Yankees player ever to be named MVP of the All-Star Game. Nearly 30 different players jersey are featured and utilized as part of the mini jerseys insert lineup. They include some of baseball's best current players such as Vladimir Guerrero, Curt Schilling, Roger Clemens, Alex Rodriguez and Albert Pujols are inserted one per pack, with special retro flannel "Throwback Jerseys"honoring the likes of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson, Satchel Paige and Ted Williams packaged one per retail box. A lineup of autographed "Signature Mini Jerseys" inserts caps off the chase element in this collection with actual signatures coming from superstars like Ken Griffey Jr., David Wright, Miguel Cabrera, Johan Santana, Adrian Beltre and Derek Jeter. The latter inserts are packaged 1:360 packs. Each retail box of 2005 Upper Deck Baseball Mini Jersey Collection is priced at $125.99.
