Topps
has announced that they have signed college basketball standout Andrew
Bogut to a deal for autograph cards as well as appearing on packaging.
His first autographed Topps card will be found in 2005-05 Topps Series
One basketball, which is set for release in August.
Bogut was
the named the winner of both the Naismith and Wooden Awards, college
basketball's top honors, after a stellar season in which he led Utah
to the NCAA Tournament's "Sweet Sixteen." He was named Men's
Player of the Year by numerous organizations, including the Associated
Press, Chevrolet/CBS, the United States Basketball Writers' Association,
ESPN.com
and the Mountain West Conference (MWC). He is expected to be the top
pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
