Connect
With a Slayer Named Buffy and Her Friends

Last
year there weren't enough Buffy: Evolution cards to go around.
The set was a fast sellout at the Inkworks warehouses. It turns out
that a certain vampire slayer is still a hot property even with her
show strolling off into the sunset (or, in this case, Hell Mouth). The
new Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Connections set is a follow-up
that includes the first-ever Buffy dual Pieceworks cards that
feature not one but two costume swatches from the show.
Connections
is unique in that it isn't a synopsis set that recaps all of a season's
highlights. Instead the 72-card set will focus on one of the reasons
why the show became so popular: relationships.
All cards
will be printed on 20-point holographic foil board, which will give
the entire set the look and feel of a premium insert. But that's not
to say there aren't some inserts lurking in the shadows. Here is a run
down:
Dual
Pieceworks (1:24 packs - one per box):
This
is the first time Inkworks has made Pieceworks cards with two costume
pieces. Three cards with four different costume combinations make up
the set. The pairings are: Buffy/Spike, Willow/Tara, Xander/Anya.
Slayer's
Circle (1:11 packs):
Put
together, this 9-card set will build a foil puzzle featuring Buffy and
her buds.
Heartbreaks
(1:14 packs):
Young
love often leads to broken hearts. This six-card embossed set includes
the best of them Buffy had to offer.
Platinum
Parallel (approximately one per pack):
A
special platinum version of the base set with different card numbers
and coloring from the base set.
Box
Loaders (one per sealed box):
three cards in set
Case
Loader (one per sealed case):
special die-cut coffin card
