someone at the Upper Deck offices has been playing with the scanner.
The result - an improved website that allows collectors to search and
inventory their favorite cards of years past.
The Upper Deck Collection may sound like their umpteenth line of cards, but it's the name of their new card search engine. Since its launch, a scan of every Upper Deck card made since 2000 is available to view on the company's site. Every month another year's worth of cards will be added, concluding with 1989, Upper Deck's debut season, early in 2003.
With the system collectors can perform multi-category searches (by year, set names, athletes and teams), create personal checklists and acquire card images from archived sets. Future plans include added features, but they might have to wait for the scanning guy to stop hogging the scanner.
