The GPK gang went to NYCC and did it their way. 2023 Topps Garbage Pail Kids New York Comic Con cards are part of a promo set given out at the massive comic and pop culture convention from October 12-15.
It’s a simple release consisting of just ten cards. None feature new characters. Rather, there’s a running theme of reusing existing GPK gags from past releases that carry some sort of New York theme or connection. These go all the way back to the Original Series run from the 1980s all the way up to modern sets from the recent past. There are no A/B name variations, either.
Promo card backs include the NYCC logo.
Cards came in five-card cello packs that were given out at the Topps booth.
