1999 Dart Flipcards Sabrina the Teenage Witch is a goofy and lighthearted set of trading cards based on the equally goofy and lighthearted sitcom that originally aired during ABC’s TGIF block on Friday nights. It doesn’t have a deep checklist but it has some interesting points that still keep it relevant, particularly for those looking for a little millennial nostalgia.

The base set has 72 total cards, most of which capture moments from the show. A title card leads things off followed by a handful of character cards that showcase the main leads. Just as interesting are some of the celebrity guest stars that appear in the set including RuPaul, Raquel Welch, Randy Travis, Coolio and Dom DeLuise.
The design is simple with a full-bleed image on the front. When there’s plenty of innocent teenage hijinks and a talking cat, the show makes for some interesting visuals and memorable cards.
The backs make up some ground in the design department with the show’s title and an illustration of Sabrina, although not the typical Archie look you might be used to. The caption highlights what’s happening on the front with some additional background and details.
1999 Dart Flipcards Sabrina the Teenage Witch has just two insert sets, which are led by autographs. Landing 1:360 packs, they’re extremely tough but the quality is there for fans of the show. Lead star Melissa Joan Hart headlines the list. Other signer include Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick and Martin Mull.
One thing to be careful of is the fact that a significant number of unsigned blanks have surfaced on the secondary market in the years since Dart Flipcards went out of business. On their own, that’s not a bad thing but it opens up the possibility for people to fake the autographs and sell them as originals. Outside of getting the cards and signatures authenticated, it’s tough to tell beyond the honor system and buying from a trusted dealer.
Six Foil cards round out the checklist. These land 1:18 packs or approximately two per box.
For TGIF fans, 1991 Impel Laffs includes cards for Full House, Perfect Strangers and Family Matters.
