The live-action Cat in the Hat movie is tough to sit through, especially so if you’re past the pint-sized phase of your life. But a bad move can still have colorful costumes. That bodes well for the 2003 Comic Images Cat in the Hat Memorabilia Cards.
The set has a total of six cards, each with a swatch from a costume from the film. All of the major characters are on the checklist including the titular feline played by Mike Myers. Costumes worn by Dakota Fanning (Sally), Alec Baldwin (Larry) and Kelly Preston (Mother) are also on the checklist.
Insertion rates were never announced for the 2003 Comic Images Cat in the Hat Memorabilia cards. That said, they are easily the top cards in the product. No autographs were included.
Like their sets for 24 and Terminator 3, Comic Images put the swatches on the back of their costume cards. A generic image of the Cat is on the front. To see the swatch, you need to flip it over. Backs show the costume piece, the character it’s from and a disclaimer giving it some provenance.
