Since it’s baseball debut in 2016, Topps Now has been about making cards for big moments as they happen. Marvel movies are a big deal, particularly on opening weekend. Put the two together and you’ve got 2025 Topps Now Marvel.
The concept is a fairly simple one. When something worthy happens — like a major movie premiere — a card is made available on the Topps website. Available for a short period of time, each card is produced on a print-to-order basis. So however many are purchased during that period becomes the print run.
The set does have a couple of twists. The first is parallels. There is a handful of serial-numbered versions:
- Green Foil – #’ed/99
- Blue Foil – #’ed/75
- Gold Foil – #’ed/50
- Orange Foil – #’ed/25
- Black Foil – #’ed/10
- Red Foil – #’ed/
- Foilfractors – 1/1
Some cards may also have variations with things like alternate posters.
Parallels and variations replace the base card in the order. In both instances, they’re randomly inserted.
Unlike most Topps Now sports releases, Marvel cards come already encased in a one-touch holder. With this comes a higher price tag, though. Single cards cost $16 direct from Topps. However, collectors not concerned about potential chase cards can often find them cheaper during the sales window on eBay as sellers buy in bulk to receive a discount.
