With 2005 Topps Garbage Pail Kids All-New Series 4, the ongoing reboot added a new chase. Sketch cards made their GPK debut with some of the brand’s most legendary artists contributing mini pieces of original art. This set also happens to commemorate the 20 years since the first drop of Adam Bomb, Nasty Nick and company.
2005 Topps Garbage Pail Kids All-New Series 4 Checklist Details
The base set is 80 cards—40 new piece of art with the usual A/B name variations. Among them is a birthday spin on Adam Bomb and Blasted Billy. Several pop culture references are also on the checklist including Paris Hilton, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Olsen twins and Wolverine.
Each hobby box should have a sketch card. While these are generally basic sketches, they’re important for being the first for the franchise. Just seven artists drew cards, however there are some GPK legends like Tom Bunk, Jay Lynch and John Pound.
Tapping into the trading card game trend, instead of Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic: The Gathering, each pack of 2005 Topps Garbage Pail Kids All-New Series 4 has a Gaming Card. And, yes, there is a game connected to them. Short print Foil cards combine to land approximately 1:72 packs.
Other inserts include Scratch ‘n Stink (1:6 packs) and Tattoos (1:4 packs). There are also four Bonus Stickers with each being exclusive to a specific store’s blaster or a blister pack.
