Stars, big and small, timeless and 15 minute-worthy, come together in 2007 Donruss Americana. It’s a wide reaching pop culture set that helped launch a new format of far-reaching content. While the checklist is large overall, there is a definite focus on autographs and memorabilia cards covering multiple eras of movies, TV, music and more.

2007 Donruss Americana Checklist Details

At its simplest, the 2007 Donruss Americana base set consists of 100 cards. A handful of iconic A-list celebs are mixed in with names making headlines for shorter periods of time. Burt Reynolds, Carrie Fisher and John Travolta mix it up with Dawn Wells, Michael Pare and Jack Hanna. Not limited to just entertainers, a handful of athletes, such as Sheryl Swoopes, Jennie Finch and The Ultimate Warrior are also on the checklist, as is astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

This is where things get a little more complicated. 2007 Donruss Americana was available at both hobby and retail. And while the base set checklists are the same, the cards in the two configurations are not. Hobby cards are done with foil stock while retail cards are more traditional, albeit glossy.

Both hobby and retail both have their own Silver Proof (/250), Gold Proof (/100) and Platinum Proof (/25) parallels.

So if one wanted to collect all the different versions of a 2007 Donruss Americana base card, they’d have eight total cards:

2007 Donruss Americana Autographs and Memorabilia Cards

When you start breaking things down, 2007 Donruss Americana’s hits come in a handful of themes with parallels expanding things further.

This starts with more spins on the base set. Private Signings adds autographs to the mix. These are basic 2007 Donruss Americana signature cards with a Private Signings stamp in the top corner. All are serial numbered but the range is big. Some have as few as ten copies each while others have more than 1,000. In a lot of instances, the biggest names are some of the rarest.

Star Material cards take the base set and include a piece of memorabilia that’s displayed in the shape of a star. Further parallels for these include Silver Proofs (/100 or less) and Gold Proofs (/25 or less). Star Signature Material cards (/250 or less) include an autograph.

More Inserts

From here, there are four main insert themes in 2007 Donruss Americana. Cinema Stars features 30 movie and television actors with a focus from the 1960s through to the present. The standard inserts are numbered to 500 with additional levels of memorabilia cards and autographs.

It’s a similar approach for Hollywood Legends, which reach back further in time and have lots of relics but limited autographs, and Sports Legends. Again, inserts numbered to 500 and further memorabilia and autographs that are done like parallels.

Finally, there’s Co-Stars, which have autographs or clothing from two actors who starred together at some point.

The Americana line presents celebrities as themselves and not directly connected to any show or movie. It’s the same with the set’s memorabilia cards, which are pieces of clothing worn by the celebrities but not necessarily in a production. It could be a dress or pair of slacks worn picking out produce at the grocery store or cutting the lawn.

Every 2007 Donruss Americana hobby pack includes either an autograph or memorabilia card. Hobby boxes get even more specific with one pack delivering an autograph, a Hollywood Legends memorabilia card in another and either a Co-Stars, Cinema Stars or Sports Legends hit in a third. The fourth pack is a mix of everything.

Standard 2007 Donruss Americana retail boxes, which have 24 packs, have one autograph or memorabilia card total.
