The 2023-24 Hoops Victor Wembanyama lineup features more than a dozen cards plus parallels. It’s a mix of base cards, inserts and even a couple of memorabilia cards. However, as appears likely for all his rookie NBA releases, autographs are nowhere to be found.
The first full release of the NBA season, 2023-24 Hoops has the first Victor Wembanyama rookie card. It’s not his most valuable card in the product but it will command attention for as long as collectors are interested in the 2023 first overall pick. The French standout has a second base card as well, appearing in the Hoops Tribute subset that resides at the end of the checklist. Both of these have more than 20 different parallels, more than half of which come with serial numbers.
As far as hits go, there are no autographs. And it’s highly unlikely that there will be any in Panini products going forward. That’s because Wembanyama has an exclusive autograph deal with Fanatics. They also own Topps, so their products will be the only place to find Wembanyama autographs. With Panini holding exclusive NBA card rights, this also suggests that there will not be any Victor Wembanyama autograph cards of him in a Spurs uniform.
The center does have a couple of memorabilia cards, though with Rise N Shine Memorabilia and Rookie Sweaters.
For those who like colorful designs, there are plenty of 2023-24 Hoops Victor Wembanyama inserts that meet the criteria. Presentations is a new addition. It stands out in part because of the illustrated image and speckled borders, somewhat similar to Panini’s popular Kaboom cards. Rookie Special is also bound to be another popular one. This uses a magazine cover as inspiration.
Other standouts from a design perspective include Extreme Team, Sheesh and Anti-Gravity.
