2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball Prizmania marks the beginning of a new chapter of extremely short printed hoops inserts. Following in the footsteps of Color Blast, Kaboom and more, these extremely scarce cards offer up caricatures from some of the NBA’s top names and the season’s most promising rookies. A couple of retired Hall of Famers are also on the debut Prizmania checklist.
The set has 20 cards. On the vet side, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic lead the way. Rookies include Victor Wembanyama, Brandon Miller and Scoot Henderson. On the retired side, there’s Dirk Nowitzki and Allen Iverson.
Rather than photos, players are depicted as drawn caricatures. Think big head sports t-shirts from the 1980s and ’90s. Backgrounds are kept largely silver, allowing for plenty of reflection and pop when held under light. It’s a similar shine as Prizm’s Silver Prizms parallels.
2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball Prizmania odds and print runs are unknown as the manufacturer rarely releases numbers for cards that aren’t serial numbered, no matter how short printed they may be. But even without those numbers, it’s safe to say they’re in very short supply. In the first month or so, typically the busiest time for a product on the secondary market, most players only had a handful of copies listed on eBay — if that. This suggest they’re extremely rare.
Where to Find Prizmania Cards
2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball has a lot of different box and pack types. A lot. However, when it comes to chasing Prizmania cards, there are only a couple of places where you’ll have a chance. 2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball Prizmania cards are exclusive to hobby. That means you’ll only find them in traditional hobby boxes and the online-exclusive 1st Off the Line boxes.
Other packs available at retail places like Walmart and Target don’t have them. So there are none lurking in blasters and mega boxes.

Just hobby and FOTL.

What Are 2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball Prizmania Cards Worth?
As one might expect, values on 2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball Prizmania cards vary greatly depending on the player. Still, all are seeing significant prices. Early copies of top names like Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic all topped $1,500. Victor Wembanyama is the most valuable Prizmania card, though with multiple eBay sales in the early part of the product’s release over $5,000.
Even lesser stars and rookies in the set have sold for several hundred dollars.
Whether these prices are sustainable depends on a couple of factors. The big one is probably whether Prizmania will catch on and have lasting popularity like Color Blast and Kaboom. Also, will Panini resist the urge to spin the cards off in other ways like Color Blast added Color Blast Black and Money Blast versions in other products.
It will take a few years for both of these to be known. But the extreme rarity and connection to the massively popular Prizm line are a couple of things that stand out in their favor.
