2004 Upper Deck Disney Treasures Mickey’s 75 Years of Fun came as a box set. As the name suggests, it’s dedicated to all things Mickey, running through many of his on-screen appearances.
The main set has 75 cards, all highlighting Disney animated shorts in which he appeared. The checklist takes a chronological approach starting with 1928’s Plane Crazy and the landmark Steamboat Willie. It concludes with Runaway Brain, which was released in 1995. They’re all framed with a Filmography theme.
It’s similar to the comprehensive Mickey Mouse Filmography insert set found in 2003 Upper Deck Disney Treasures Series 1, although the numbers aren’t exactly the same. Cards in the box set have red borders. The 2003 inserts are grey. Box set card numbers have an “MC” prefix while the packed out inserts have “MM.”
Also included in each set is one oversized commemorative card. Not only does it have some silver foil accents, but the top is die-cut.
Upper Deck also did a Cut Signature card with an autograph from Walt Disney. However, with just a single copy, it’s virtually impossible to find.
