1980 FTCC Rocky Horror Picture Show trading cards do the Time Warp with a simple but fun set that captures the campy fun of the classic musical.
Consisting of 60 cards, there’s not much to the design. Fronts have white borders and a still from the film, no captions, names or even the film’s title. But with such a unique vision and interesting characters, there really isn’t any need for more. It’s on the backs that the movie is identified along with the card number, a group photo and a short caption set inside of a marquee.
As far as set structure goes, the first nine cards highlight characters with captions highlighting both their names and the actors who portrayed them. From there, things shift into a standard story mode.
Sometimes this set is misidentified as being from 1975 as that’s the year given on card backs. However, that’s the copyright for the film, not the cards.
