2024-25 Panini Prizm Basketball Manga inserts represent some of the most valuable cards in the product. They’re also among most distinct cards on the checklist — and the hardest to pull.
The idea is the same as other Panini Manga sets from past basketball sets and other sports, like football. Players are presented as illustrations using the Japanese comic art. And while the result is out there compared to virtually everything else not named Kaboom!, there isn’t the same over-the-top approach as the 2024 Panini Prizm Football Manga cards. Basketball has no players dressed up in bear suits, driving go-karts or boasting magical powers.
The 2024-25 panini Prizm Basketball Manga checklist has 20 cards. About half come from the season’s rookie crop while the balance consists of top NBA superstars. Victor Wembanyama, LeBron James and Stephen Curry are among the most valuable cards in the set with early copies fetching thousands. Even the lowest tier players consistently sell for hundreds.
Like most Panini inserts, exact odds are not known. Some refer to them as case hits, others SSPs. No matter the case, they’re rare. Not only that, but they’re not in a lot of Prizm’s main configurations. Rather, cards are limited to retail and retail-style configurations.
Which Boxes Have 2024-25 Panini Prizm Basketball Manga Inserts?
Prizm is one of those lines that has a lot of different types of boxes and packs. For 2024-25 Manga inserts, you’re going to want to look primarily on the retail side. Mega Boxes, Blaster Boxes and Fat Packs all have the SSP inserts. This includes Hobby Megas and Hobby Blasters.
Traditional hobby boxes have their own assortment of inserts and Manga isn’t one of them. This goes for others like 1st Off the Line, International and Choice.
