With a dozen movies and a television series that lasted three seasons, there’s no shortage of Friday the 13th content to draw. Yet, 1993 Eclipse Jason Goes to Hell is the only thing resembling a comprehensive set of trading cards to represent the franchise.

1993 Eclipse Jason Goes to Hell Checklist Details

A total of 110 cards summary the ninth film to feature Jason Voorhees and his iconic hockey mask. At this point, the franchise might not have been at its best but it had long since established itself as a cornerstone of the slasher genre.

Cards are simple enough. Fronts have a basic black border and thin inner frame to go with a movie image. The movie’s word art is in one of the corners. That’s it. Backs have an illustration of Jason’s mask along with a detailed write-up summarizing the story.

While most of the cards focus on what’s shown on the screen, towards the end of the checklist are a few cards dedicated to the stars and production side of things.

There are no inserts.

1993 Eclipse Jason Goes to Hell trading cards are fairly obscure today. They’re out there, but it might take some hunting and a little luck to find them.

In March, 2013, a lot of production material used in the making of the set sold through Heritage Auctions for just $15.

Topps also made some Jason Goes to Hell trading cards in 1993. However, instead of a full release, these came as bonus cards inside the comics they made based on the film.
