1994 Cardz The Mask trading cards delve into one of Jim Carrey’s early blockbusters. More than that, it touches on the movie’s comic book origins. It’s not a complex set and one that’s largely overlooked today.
1994 Cardz The Mask Checklist Details
The base set comes in at 100 cards. While most of it is centered on recapping the film’s plot, there are a couple of additional subsets. The visual effects get an in-depth look in the checklist’s second half. Nine Dark Horse comic covers are also recreated, showing the movie’s inspiration.
Fronts are full-bleed and don’t have any captions. That leaves plenty of room to focus on Carrey’s antics and over-the-top approach. Co-star Cameron Diaz also appears on several cards. Making her big screen debut in the film, this is the first set to include the actress. It’s not for Carrey, though, who’s in 1992 Topps In Living Color alongside Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Lopez.
Backs make up for the lack of text on the front with significant write-ups.
1994 Cardz The Mask has just one set of inserts. Ten Tekchrome cards appear at a rate of 1:12 packs, or approximately two per box.
