2000 Topps Star Wars Episode I 3Di Widevision trading cards are a two-fer when it comes to gimmicks. The set is 3-D and it’s in the over-sized tall boy format. One could argue that here is where you’ll find some depth for Jar Jar Binks.

Like many 3-D sets of Star Wars trading cards that Topps has done over the years, this isn’t a big set. Just 46 cards are on the checklist, each doing their part to recap the prequel. Between the many aliens, spaceships and intergalactic backdrops, there’s plenty of visual material to draw from. And that’s the focus of any set that’s 3-D.
Similar to the main Episode I set Topps did, this one gets an oversized format. Cards measure 4 5/8″ by 2.5″. This preserves the aspect ratio and shows everything you’d see on the big screen.
The only two inserts on the 2000 Topps Star Wars Episode I 3Di Widevision checklist. Landing 1:18 packs, Multi-Motion cards add small bits of movement.
With packs holding just two cards, putting this set together wasn’t easy if simply going by packs. But with good collation, a single hobby box should deliver a full master set of all pack-inserted cards.
This is the second set of lenticular 3-D Star Wars trading cards from Topps. The original 1977 film got a similar release in 1996.
