The first Family Guy trading cards didn’t come out until after the animated show was cancelled and brought back. Inkworks started out with the license, making sets for the first two seasons as well as a Star Wars-themed episode. After Inkworks declared bankruptcy, Leaf picked up a couple of years later with a box set for Seasons 3, 4 and 5.
The most popular Family Guy trading cards have proven to be sketch cards that have original art on them. They’re in all of the sets but one. A big part of their popularity is how much freedom artists were given. As a result, many are mash-ups with other pieces of pop culture.
Autographs are also featured prominently in most of the Family Guy card products.
