There’s a reason why there aren’t a lot of cards based on reality shows — most of their “stars” are quickly forgotten. Make no mistake, 2005 Comic Images Apprentice trading cards don’t make for a great product. However, the presence of Donald Trump makes it intriguing.
The 72-card base set covers various elements of the first three seasons. It also has a preview of the candidates from the show’s fourth season. Good luck remembering more than a handful of faces and any of the highlighted events.
2005 Comic Images Apprentice trading cards have no basic inserts. However, there are autographs and a couple of memorabilia cards.
Seven different autographs can be found in packs, two of which have Trump’s signature. A third Donald Trump autograph was available as a case incentive. Other signers include early advisors George and Carolyn as well as the winners from the first three seasons.
Both memorabilia cards have pieces of a Donald Trump-worn tie. Blue and pink versions exist.
The 2005 Comic Images Apprentice trading cards were not received well. A follow-up series was never produced. Today, interest comes primarily from the premium Trump cards.
