2025 Fleer Brilliants Superman puts a new spin on a brand that hasn’t been seen in over 25 years. After baseball, basketball and football releases to close out the 1990s, Upper Deck has resurrected Brilliants with a comic twist.
While there is a somewhat premium look and feel built into the checklist, this release is largely straightforward. Outside of a few low-numbered parallels and a couple of scarce inserts, there’s not a lot of chase elements on the checklist, either. This may explain the different pack configurations as well with mega boxes and blaster boxes but no traditional hobby.
2025 Fleer Brilliants Superman Checklist Overview
Although the set came out to coincide with the release of James Gunn’s Superman film, this is a comics-only release. The 2025 Fleer Brilliants Superman checklist kicks off with a 90-card base set. It’s all characters with much of the focus on modern art.
Base cards have nine total parallels available in packs. That said, several of them are exclusive to certain places. Mega boxes have Purple at a rate of one per pack and Green Kryptonite (#’ed/499). One-per-pack blaster parallels vary depending on where they’re from. Blue are at Walmart, Red come from Target and Game Stop has Yellow.
Additional serial numbered parallels include:
- Red Heat Vision – #’ed/1938
- Blue X-Ray – #’ed/999
- Golden Flight – #’ed/24
- Purple Explosion – 1/1
Leading the inserts is the 15-card Last Son of Krypton. Using intricate foil, these rarities fall at a rate of 1:2,880 packs.
Other short print inserts include Truth Justice and a Better Tomorrow (1:640 packs), Powered by the Sun (1:160 packs), World of Metropolis (1:80 packs) and Illuminators (1:64 packs).
Most packs have a Classic Covers card while Superman Revenge Squad are also easy at 1:3 packs.
