2026 Upper Deck Transformers The Movie trading cards look to have some touch and some power. Released under a “Special Edition” banner, the checklist takes an abbreviated approach to commemorate the animated film’s 40th anniversary.
Similar to the card maker’s Space Jam 30th Anniversary release from earlier in the year, it’s a retail-only release that delivers a full base set plus a couple of extras in every 12-card box. The chase highlights? A couple of scarce autograph cards from legendary voice actor Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) who passed away shortly before the set came out.

The base set is small, consisting of just ten cards. Rather than recapping the movie itself, it focuses on Generation 1 characters who played prominent roles in the feature.
Each box has one parallel, typically an Energon version. Others include Anniversary (#’ed/1986), Unicron (#’ed/86) and Matrix of Leadership (1/1). Every 20 sets, the base cards are replaced by a full set of Galaxy parallels.
Cullen’s signature is on two different cards, Optimus Prime’s Mark Autographs and One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall Autographs. The latter has just one copy.
Every pack has one of ten different Stellar System inserts, which used etched foil. These also have Supernova (#’ed/99), Black Hole (#’ed/25) and Cybertron (#’ed/5) parallels.
