1994 Topps Flintstones Movie trading cards offer a more modern take on the big screen adaptation of the original modern Stone Age family. Based on the summer blockbuster that had plenty of commercial tie-ins including a major push at McDonald’s, it’s not a complex or valuable set but it does have some interesting elements.
1994 Topps Flintstones Movie Checklist Overview
In many regards, the 1994 Topps Flintstones Movie checklist is like most movie sets from the card maker. It starts with the 88-card base set that adapts the film, which stars John Goodman, Rick Moranis, Elizabeth Perkins and Rosie O’Donnell. The cast list also includes several other notable names including Twin Peaks‘ Kyle MacLachlan, comedy legend Jonathan Winters and The B-52s. The biggest and most interesting, though, is Halle Berry. This appears to be her appearances on trading cards.
Stickers also make an appearance, landing one per hobby pack. Retail packs also exist. These have a stick of gum instead of a sticker, though.
1994 Topps Flintstones Movie gets a modern twist courtesy of Flint-Foil. The four-card insert set uses etched foil to further highlight Fred and friends.
A factory set can also be found that includes the full package: a base set, stickers, Flint-Foil cards and even the set’s promo card.
While this release focuses on the big screen version of The Flintstones, there are some indirect references to the cartoon as well. This is thanks to the film’s faithful adaptation to several iconic moments from the cartoon.
It is worth noting that this set has a 1993 copyright. As a result, it’s often referenced as such. That said, it came out to coincide with the movie’s release for the 1994 summer blockbuster season.
1994 Topps Flintstones Movie trading cards are still readily available in all of its forms. As a result, don’t expect to find significant value in either sets or unopened boxes.
