1995 Fleer Ultra Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie charts the super hero team’s jump to the big screen. After a handful of sets from Collect-A-Card for the powerhouse television show, it’s also a jump to a new card maker with added premium elements. It may not seem like it today, but “premium” in 1995 was a lot different in the hobby than it is today.

At 150 cards, the base set is a big one. It kicks off by highlighting the various characters in the film, which includes both a few new additions to the Power Rangers lineup and Ivan Ooze, a new villain that almost makes you think earth is in trouble. From there, the set shifts to recapping the film’s action and key events.
Besides the glossy stock, there are also foil highlights on the front for the Power Rangers logo and the banner holding the caption.

Power Pop-Ups are one per pack. These fold out to make simple character displays. Twenty-four are in the set.
The movie’s massive machines are the focus of Holofoil Zord cards. The eight cards are 1:4 hobby and 1:3 jumbo packs.
Characters, including the Power Rangers in their new ninja forms, are highlighted in Holograms. The chase set has 12 cards with one landing every 18 hobby packs and 12 jumbo packs. This makes them the most challenging cards in 1995 Fleer Ultra Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.
Fleer also produced a similar set for retail that doesn’t carry the Ultra banner. 1995 Fleer Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie cards simply say Fleer on the front and don’t have any foil. A separate product, it does not have any chase cards.
