1992 General Mills Home Alone 2 Magic Motion trading cards were the prize in select cereal boxes across Canada.
The lenticular cards captured shots from two different scenes. The result isn’t exactly “motion” but it’s still a fun artifact from the franchise. And as far as trading cards go, these are much less scarce than the full mainstream Home Alone 2: Lost in New York set released by Topps.
Just four cards make up the 1992 General Mills Home Alone 2 checklist. Each has a shot of Kevin McCallister for one of the images. Then when it’s tilted, the card flips to another shot.
Cards originally came cello wrapped, which helped protect them so condition isn’t as big a challenge as their relative scarcity. They were issued one per box in specially marked boxes of Lucky Charms, Pro Stars, Golden Grahams, Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
