2012 Rittenhouse James Bond 50th Anniversary Series 2 is a direct compliment to the first set. Not so much a continuation, the pair of releases were designed to be fully integrated and make for something much larger.
Like most Rittenhouse James Bond trading cards, autographs are the main draw with three per box. That said, several other inserts of varying rarities are also available.
2012 Rittenhouse James Bond 50th Anniversary Series 2 Checklist Details
The base set has 99 cards covering every James Bond film from Dr. No through Quantum of Solace. Embossed gold foil fronts make them stand out, matching the design of Series 1. In fact, the full 50th Anniversary set requires both to work. That’s because all of the even numbered cards are her while the first release has the odd numbers. So it’s not as easy as building one half or the other like most multi-series sets do.
Base cards have Sparkle Foil parallels that are moderately easy to put together with 1:3 pack odds.
Autographs and Other Inserts
The 2012 Rittenhouse James Bond 50th Anniversary Series 2 checklist uses the 40th Anniversary and Full-Bleed designs for autographs with things split pretty evenly between the two. Key signers include Daniel Craig, Roger Moore, Halle Berry, Gemma Arterton, Honor Blackman and Michelle Yeoh.
A Dual Autograph of Moore and Richard Kiel (Jaws) was given out as a six-case incentive.
The release’s lone Relic has a piece of Franz Sanchez’s airplane from Licence to Kill. Not available in packs, it was a three-case incentive.
From Russia with Love gets a massive insert set consisting of 108 cards. Done with a throwback style both in design and card stock, these are one per pack.
James Bond Shadowbox (1:96 packs), 007 Gold Gallery (1:12 packs) and Gold Plaques (1:12 packs) all carry on from Series 1. Acetate Skyfall Posters (1:48 packs) are a standalone insert set for Series 2.
