The 1992 Comic Images Wolverine From Then Til Now II follows up on the previous year’s all-Wolvie set. This time around, though, there’s more for collectors to chew on, both in scope and content.

The 90-card base set revolves entirely around the exploits of the rough-around-the-edges Canadian mutant. Like the 1991 original set, art comes directly from the comics. This time around, instead of white borders that cut things off, fronts have a basic full-bleed design. This leaves plenty of space for the character drawings, action shots and cover art.
While the first set had puzzle back, the second actually delves into Wolverine’s history with fairly extensive write-ups.
The 1992 Comic Images Wolverine From Then Til Now II checklist goes beyond just a base set as well. Six Prisms inserts make for a chase element to go with it. Six are in the set with approximately three in every box.
Today, this set does carry some value. It’s not as common as some of the other Marvel-based sets that were starting to fill an increasingly crowded market. The fact that it’s Wolverine is another major plus as well.
