Rittenhouse made it known early that they wouldn’t be releasing a full set focused on the 21st James Bond film. But that didn’t mean they left collectors completely out in the cold for Daniel Craig’s first bow as Bond. The 2006 Rittenhouse James Bond Casino Royale Preview set offered a small taste and in limited numbers.
All told, the set has ten cards. Nine are base cards that look at key and supporting characters in the film, such as Bond, Vesper Lynd and M.
There’s also a From the Archives costume card in every set that has a piece of a tuxedo worn by Daniel Craig in the film. Costume cards come numbered to 500 copies.
Casino Royale would become part of Rittenhouse’s main Bond line in 2007 Complete James Bond. Its biggest set came several years later in 2014 James Bond Archives. Although another anthology-style release, the base set was dedicated to the one film.
