2007 Comic Images American Idol Season 6 trading cards saw the hit music show jump to a new manufacturer. Fleer did sets for the third and fourth seasons. Typical for a lot of Comic Images sets at the time, the structure is basic and boring. The fact that no major stars emerged from the season doesn’t help matters, either.
The 72-card base set starts out by looking briefly at earlier seasons and the star power on the judges panel and Ryan Seacrest. From there, a few different subsets go through the early parts of the sixth season culminating in the final 12.
2007 Comic Images American Idol Season 6 has just one insert set — autographs. These have the same general design as the base set. Inserted 1:15 packs, there should be at least two in each box. The checklist has the 12 finalists including winner Jordin Sparks.
This is the only set of American Idol trading cards from Comic Images. The license switched again, this time to Upper Deck, for Season 8.
