Procedural dramas are not normally the subject matter that leads to trading cards. But not many procedural dramas were the juggernaut that the CSI franchise was in its prime. 2003 Strictly Ink CSI Series 1 tackles the first two seasons of the show. It’s highlighted by a fairly varied checklist and an autograph lineup with many key stars.
The first 46 cards in the 100-card base set are dedicated to specific episodes, offering brief recaps. Much of the remainder is dedicated to not only the main cast but key crew members working on the other side of the camera.
Every box of 2003 Strictly Ink CSI Series 1 has a pair of autographs. Among the top signatures are William Petersen (Grissom), Jorja Fox (Sara) and Gary Dourden (Brown). And while there are some solid stars, the checklist also has a lot of crew like producers and visual effects people. While their contributions are important to the show, these sorts of autographs don’t normally garner much attention.
Costume cards are also in the product, but they’re tough pulls falling every fourth box. All three of the cards are redemptions as well.
2003 Strictly Ink CSI Series 1 has a pair of Gold Foil inserts as well, Stars of CSI and DNA Fingerprint.
A total of 4,999 boxes were produced.
