2001 Rittenhouse Xena: Warrior Princess Season 6 trading cards continues on with the more premium approach the card maker brought to the table when they took over the franchise with their Seasons 4 and 5 release. In fact, it offers more high-end elements with both an autograph and a costume card in each box.
The base set has 72 cards. Each of the season’s episodes gets three. Bookending things are three montage cards at the start and a trio of checklists at the end. The design is switched up a bit with more of a design element in the caption area. Seasons 4 and 5 only had the caption.
2001 Rittenhouse Xena: Warrior Princess Season 6 Autographs
With 15 cards and just one autograph per box, this wasn’t the easiest set to piece together at the time. The signers checklist is decent. Xena herself, Lucy Lawless, leads them.
Other notables include Hudson Leick (Callisto), Karl Urban (Caesar) and Renee O’Connor (Gabrielle).
Additional Inserts
A total of eight different costume cards made their way into 2001 Rittenhouse Xena: Warrior Princes Season 6 packs. While the print runs vary, most are in the 1,200 to 1,500 range. However, card #R4 is a definite short print with just 275 copies. Two more costume cards can be connected to this set. One came with the product’s binder. Another (#R2) was sold separately by Rittenhouse.
Two insert sets focus on the show’s sexiness. Busting Loose (nine cards, 1:8 packs) uses a die-cut design with Xena wielding her sword on one side and ladies wearing tight-fitting, often skimpy outfits on the other. Wet, Wicked and Wild (nine cards, 1:20) showcases female characters in various states of undress.
The final pair of insert sets in 2001 Rittenhouse Xena: Warrior Princess Season 6 focus on specific characters. God of War (nine cards, 1:4) is the easiest to complete. It’s all about Ares. Forever Gabrielle is on the opposite end. Although it has only two cards, they’re inserted 1:120 packs (1:3 boxes). These have a film slide embedded in them.
