2022 Rittenhouse Disney Hits trading cards are music to collectors’ ears. The limited edition set was available exclusively at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim. Even then, this set is challenging to put together on multiple levels.
2022 Rittenhouse Disney Hits Checklist Details
At just 30 cards, this isn’t a big set. Each highlights a different song from a Disney animated feature with a heavy emphasis on modern movies. While there are a couple of cards for early classics like Pinocchio and Cinderella, the majority come from more recent blockbusters like Frozen and Moana.
Fronts list the song and movie alongside a corresponding image. Backs offer up several details including the film’s release date, the album the song is found on, the composer and some background on the scene that the song is a part of. There’s also a QR code that when scanned goes to a playlist.
Just 5,000 packs of 2022 Rittenhouse Disney Hits were produced, each with three cards. If all cards were produced in equal quantities, that would work out to a possible 500 complete sets in existence. However, it’s less than that as three cards (“Circle of Life,” “How Far I’ll Go,” and “Let It Go”) are short prints. To what extent they’re short printed is unknown. This would also make non-SPs more plentiful than 500 copies to balance the print run out to 15,000 total cards.
You also have to factor in that a lot of the cards available are still in sealed packs. Many D23 attendees who got packs might not be card collectors and have them set aside as well. In short, this is not an easy set to put together.
