1996 Dart Flipcards Smokey Bear trading cards look back on the greatest — and cuddliest — forest fire prevention campaign ever created. Highlighting the iconic mascot, today the set is part nostalgia and part reminder of what we can do to stop forest fires.
1996 Dart Flipcards Smokey Bear Checklist Details
The base set is a modest 50 cards, consisting of ads, posters and billboards. All use classic art that is engrained on multiple generations that is sometimes beautiful, sometimes tragic, occasionally driven by guilt, and, on the rare occasion, creepy. While the various posters have different looks and designs, all revolve around the same fire prevention theme.
Design-wise, fronts have a simple green border along with a wood inner frame that holds the poster in. With enough going on already, there’s neither room nor reason to add anything else. Backs include a variety of Smokey Bear facts and trivia. Appropriately enough, they also have fire prevention tips.
The 1996 Dart Flipcards Smokey Bear checklist has just two total insert cards that are available in packs. Both a Die-Cut and a Gold Foil card each have 1:48 pack odds. So boxes should have one of them with some getting both.
There’s also an oversized Tall Boy card that was available through a mail-away offer.
