Bruce Banner and the many forms of his alter ego, the Hulk, have been featured in a handful of card sets of the years. From the TV version to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to Marvel Comic sets, the green giant has been a regular in this part of the hobby for decades. 1991 Comic Images Incredible Hulk trading cards show why it isn’t always easy being green.
The comic-based set doesn’t strive to take an encyclopedic approach to the character. Rather, it’s set in a specific sprawling storyline that took place in the late 1980s and carried into the early part of the new decade.

Over the course of 90 cards, the set traces the time from when the Hulk went grey and the ensuing fallout as the savage green Hulk tried to make his way back into Bruce Banner’s life.
It’s a simple checklist that doesn’t have any inserts or chase elements that were an established trend by this point.
Although far from rare, 1991 Comic Images Incredible Hulk trading cards aren’t quite as common as many other Marvel products from the era. It’s definitely tougher to find that the Impel Marvel Universe sets from the timeframe.
