It might be a largely forgotten entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but 2008’s Incredible Hulk is a part of it. While the fim never got a full trading card release, the 2008 Rittenhouse Incredible Hulk Movie lineup does have a couple of limited edition mini sets.
2008 Rittenhouse Incredible Hulk Movie Checklist Details
For starters, there’s a six-card Preview Set. Packaged together, these primarily highlight the actors and the characters they played. Edward Norton (Bruce Banner) and Liv Typer (Betty Ross) are among them. The final card in each set, Abomination, has a serial number.
The Preview Set has a production run of 999, although there are no chase cards or premium additions.
Collectors can find those in the 2008 Rittenhouse Incredible Hulk Movie Expansion Set. Each of these consist of two autographs and six Costume Cards.
The signers for the set are big ones. Edward Norton is the big one. The multi-time Oscar nominee is one of the biggest stars of his generation. His signature is on a Bruce Banner card. The second autograph has a small role on-screen in the Incredible Hulk movie, but Lou Ferrigno is tied to larger lore for the character, playing Hulk in the original live-action TV series. Ferrigno did have a cameo in the movie as a security guard, which is featured on the autograph.
A total of 375 Expansion Sets were made, all with the same eight cards.
Two additional autographs are on the checklist, though. Both Norton and Ferrigno have Hulk variations of their cards. These were given out as incentives for buy three Expansion Sets, meaning each of these has 125 copies.
