2012 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 7 Checklist, Trading Cards Info

2012 Topps Star Wars Galaxy 7 closed out the second run of one of the most successful lines in the franchise’s history. Art takes centerstage once again and spans across all aspects of the release.

2012 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 7 Checklist Details

The 110-card base set focuses on artistic interpretations across all of the films to that point. Like the six Star Wars Galaxy sets before it, the styles and interpretations are vast.

On the rare side, each base card gets the Printing Plate treatment. Each has four different plates, one for each step of the printing process. Printing Plates are all considered to be one-of-ones.

Sketch Cards are the promised hit in hobby boxes. Like the main set, these cards come in plenty of different styles. That spans across both interpretations and level of detail. Retail packs also have Sketch Cards, but they’re much tougher to pull.

The product’s only autographs are found in the form of Sketchagraphs. These are signed sketch cards. Autograph headliners include Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. For fans of the Expanded Universe, author Timothy Zahn is an intriguing inclusion.

Sticking with tradition are six Etched Foil inserts. Like every other Galaxy set, these fit together to form a larger puzzle.

Mark McHaley provides the artwork for 15 Foil inserts. Each has Bronze, Gold and one-of-one Refractor versions. The final inserts in 2012 Topps Star Wars Galaxy 7 are nine Animation Cel cards that are exclusive to retail packs.
